Sustainability is not just a passing fad , where it seems there is no other choice to recover from the damage done to the environment and our health.
Sustainability is a lifestyle , which speaks of respect, ethics and care for the environment and for all animals and for future generations.
Our environment is seriously compromised by human activities. Scientific communities now recognize that the primary cause of climate change is human activities, including the excessive use of natural resources and non-renewable energy, combined with activities that damage the planet's natural heritage, as well as intensive agriculture and livestock farming practices that create enormous human suffering and release pollutants.
The transition to sustainable choices is certainly not easy , but in small steps, with small daily choices, you can choose to consume less but better.
It's a shared effort: we're all impacted when the mass production of products, overproduction, and the enormity of waste irreparably compromise our health and that of the planet.
A conscious choice of organic products and eco-sustainable clothing certainly helps, but it's the actual maintenance of the garments, avoiding waste, that will make the difference!
Let's think circularly, think about the impact of every single action, and educate our children and friends about this.
Education is a powerful weapon to change the world.

GOTS

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
It is the most important organic certification for textile production. It is promoted by international organizations such as the Organic Trade Association, IVN, the Japanese Organic Cotton Association, the Soil Association, and other environmental and social protection organizations globally.
Only textile products containing at least 70% organic fibers can become GOTS certified. All chemical additives used as dyes and auxiliaries must meet specific environmental and toxicological criteria. A wastewater treatment plant is mandatory for all involved treatment facilities, and all processors must meet social criteria.
As with other textile certifications, GOTS certification is also subject to inspections by the Italian body ICEA.

OCS 100
Organic 100
It certifies that the product is made of 100% organic cotton.

OCS BLENDED
OCS Blended
It certifies that the product is composed of at least 5% organic cotton woven with other natural or synthetic recycled materials.
FAIR TRADE FUNDATION

FWF certification
Fair Wear Foundation is a non-profit organization that works with brands, factories, unions, NGOs and sometimes governments to verify and improve the conditions of workers generally employed in the textile supply chain.
It operates in 11 production countries in Asia, Europe and Africa. FWF tracks the improvements made by the companies with which it collaborates, and through the sharing of skills, social dialogue and the strengthening of industrial relations, FWF increases the effectiveness of the efforts made by the companies. Over 80 FWF member companies represent over 120 brands based in Europe.
The certificate guarantees, among other things, freedom of employment, non-exploitation of child labor, sustainable working hours, safe working conditions, non-discrimination at work.

MODAL ®
Modal
Modal® is an ecological fabric made from beech fiber. It is produced by Lenzing AG, an Austrian company specialized in the production of fibers from cellulose, such as Tencel®. For the production of Modal, it uses its own beech plantation to obtain cellulose. The company has developed low environmental impact technology to produce this fabric.
Modal is a very soft fabric that is also used in combination with other fabrics to improve its quality. It looks like a fabric with high comfort, has a good resistance to color fading and shrinkage of the fabric, does not flap and does not create the "pilling" effect common in cotton.

TENCEL ®
Tencel
Tencel / Lyocell is an artificial fabric of natural origin as it derives from the regeneration of Eucalyptus wood cellulose. The fabric thus obtained has great moisture absorption properties preventing the formation of bacteria and the growth of dust mites so that Tencel can be classified as a hypoallergenic fabric.
The production process is not very polluting: even the solvents used are non-toxic, as well as being completely recyclable .
Eucalyptus trees are grown by companies certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), respecting the standards socially and responsibly useful for the environment.
Tencel® is a Lenzing brand, an Austrian company that has won several prizes awarded by the European Union to companies that are committed to sustainable production.
