My Philosophy
I firmly believe there's commitment between philosophy and reality, as there is between words and actions. My T-Shirt is the embodiment of this commitment: sustainable creativity for us and the environment. How? Read below.
My philosophy is to create sustainable t-shirts in limited editions with original designs and high quality to last. These shirts and t-shirts become artistic pieces, also created from recovered and recycled fabrics to avoid textile waste and promote high-quality creative circularity.
My T-shirts are hand-drawn, hand-printed or hand-painted, made in small quantities, produced with organic cotton or recycled fabrics.
I don’t follow the logic of mass production. I follow the rhythm of creativity, quality, and respect for materials.
We started in 2019, when organic cotton was still often confused with “organic” in a generic sense — which in Italian is not exactly the same thing. It has been a slow project, I admit it, because while creating I was also studying, growing, learning.
Today Mia Maglietta has evolved: it will always offer your favorite T-shirt made with truly organic cotton and filled with original, authentic stories to tell — but not only that.
Have you heard of LCA and Circularity?
It’s a practice inspired by nature, aimed at creating objects and processes that are sustainable for the Planet, just like natural life cycles.
It’s called “natural” because every life that is born and then dies becomes part of the next one, and so on. Everything in balance, with no waste and no unnecessary leftovers.
Unfortunately, energy-intensive human activities since the Industrial Revolution have caused extreme changes, also due to the destruction of natural ecosystems and the indiscriminate exploitation of animals through intensive farming and agriculture.
Conscious customization:
For me, personalization also means reducing waste. I create only what is needed, when it is needed. Every garment is part of a vision of sustainable, circular and responsible fashion, where aesthetics meet ethics.
So, to truly help make things better, let’s buy less, consume less — and better.
Let’s remember that every object has its own life cycle, that it was made using energy and natural resources, and that in the end it will go somewhere.
If you have ideas to share with me, I’m listening.
Welcome aboard!

Are you familiar with LCA, or Circularity? It's a practice that draws inspiration from nature to create objects and processes that are sustainable for the planet, just like the natural cycle of things.
It's called natural, because every life that is born and then dies will be part of the next life, and so on. Everything is in balance, without waste or unnecessary refuse.
Unfortunately, human energy-intensive activities since the Industrial Revolution of the 18th century have brought about extreme changes, thanks also to the destructive activities of natural ecosystems and the indiscriminate abuse of humanoid power over animals through intensive farming and agriculture.
So, to make our valuable contribution to changing things for the better, let's buy little, consume little and better.
Let's reflect on the fact that every object has its own life cycle, and was made by consuming energy and natural resources and will eventually end up somewhere.
If you have any ideas to share, I'm listening!
